In addition to mission efforts through the UCC, St. Vincent United Church of Christ actively supports a number of local mission efforts. Below are some of our local mission efforts.
St. Mary's Franciscan Shelter
St. Mary's Franciscan Shelter is a place where families in need can go to receive meals and shelter for a length of up to 8 weeks. St. Vincent UCC is one of the ways they receive their dinner time meals. We are one of about 30 churches who prepare and deliver meals daily, twice a year for one week. The meals need to be enough to feed 18 people--adults and children together. St. Mary's needs donations throughout the year, which we also ask our congregation to help with. St. Mary's is an important part of our community, helping families get through tough times. They are located at 209 Emmett Street in Phoenixville.
