About Us
What We Believe

St. Vincent is a local church of the United Church of Christ.

We commonly use the Apostle's Creed and the UCC Statement of Faith during worship as ways to briefly summarize our beliefs. We have included them on our "Statement of Faith" page for the same purpose.

You can click on a "Short Course in the History of the United Church of Christ" to learn how the UCC came to be.  You can also contact the church office by phone at 610-933-4243 or e-mail and we would be happy to mail you a easy-to-read comic-book-style booklet on what the UCC is and how it came to be, entitled "About the United Church of Christ.".

Our Vision

 No matter who you are,
or where you are on life’s journey,
you’re welcome here.

The motto of the United Church of Christ is "That they may all be one."  This is from Jesus' prayer in John 17:21, where Christ prays that we might be one with God and with one another, as Christ is one.  May we all be one.

We envision a church where all are equally welcome, regardless of age, gender, race, ethnicity, or other human conceived divisions.  Rather, we believe that we are all created as children of God, made in God's image, to live as sisters and brothers in the love of Christ.  We rather focus on what we can do together to deepen our relationship with God, to reach out to those in need, and to share in the holy peace of Christ, than we would in what has kept people apart.
