Hawk Mountain
Family Hike at the Bird Sanctuary
October 2010
We had a beautiful, clear day to enjoy God's creation, and marvel at His majesty.

Views from the Northern Lookout.

The more adventurous could take more challenging routes.

We had the opportunity to learn more about raptors and why so many journey past Hawk Mountain.
Pictured here is one of the interns with a diagram showing the thermals.

God's greatness in creation is not just found in the skies and in distant views,
but also in something small enough to fit in a child's hands.

Heading back down the mountain,
where there are frozen fruit pops in the visitor's center.
